Information for Existing Businesses Banner

The Town of Sidney values each and every business that operates in our unique corner of the world. Our goal is to be as welcoming as possible, with streamlined processes for business owners to keep their information up to date and services running smoothly.

_NEW Graphic Options for Winterizing Outdoor Seating & Lineup Areas

The Town is looking for comments and feedback on options for weather protection of outdoor seating areas for restaurants and cafes as well as line up areas for businesses, given the ongoing pandemic and its impact on local businesses. To review key considerations and potential options and to provide your feedback (by November 12, 2020), please visit our dedicated webpage on this subject.

Change of Information

As your business grows and evolves, please keep us up to date on any changes that are relevant to your business licence. Relevant changes include a change in ownership, location, business name, or the size/scale of your operation (for example, the number of children for a daycare, or the number of seats in a cafe/restaurant). There is no fee to update your account. Simply submit your Change of Information form to the Town, and we will update your information and issue a new business licence, if required.

For businesses that were licensed in the previous year, the Town of Sidney mails out Renewal Invoices in early December for the following calendar year. Fees are due and payable by January 1st of each year. The Town accepts debit, cash, cheque, or credit card; or, you can pay online using MySidney here.

Note: In order to pay online, you must submit your application to the Town first. Once staff set up your application in our system, we can email you the information to pay online.

Didn't receive your invoice? Have questions? Please email us or call 250-656-1725.
