We serve Sidney and the CRD. We provide funding to any needy person who, through disability, sickness or financial hardship is unable to maintain safety, well-being and independence. Some examples are short-term homemaker services,respite care, transportation vouchers, gift certificates for food, or vouchers to help care for a pet.

We offer support for children / youth with behavioural problems, parenting help, home care, counselling, alternative education, daycare and mental health therapy. The Resource Centre is open Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is located at the east side of the Town Hall.

Thrifty Foods offers a unique program called Sendial for seniors and others who need fresh food but aren't able to shop for themselves. Local volunteers shop the aisles of Thrifty Foods, and then our own drivers will deliver the order straight to the customer's door. In Sidney telephone Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Our's is a one-on-one, free service provided by trained senior volunteers. We provide emotional support and guidance to seniors troubled by loneliness, isolation, loss, conflict, and life changes. Our non-profit society has been going strong since 1982 all across BC.

The Food Bank "helps people help themselves". We do this in a variety of ways but primarily by providing a food hamper designed to supplement a client's food needs.
