Getting involved could be as simple as talking with your neighbours. Or you may choose to volunteer from time to time with emergency preparedness organizations in the community. Whatever you decide to do, making emergency preparedness an important topic in your life will benefit you, your family, and your community.

There are three general areas where you can get involved.

Discuss – The simplest is to talk about emergency preparedness with everyone you meet...family members, neighbours, business colleagues, and people you encounter in the community.

Learn – Another option is to sign up for training opportunities in your community.

Volunteer and Donate – For the more dedicated, you may want to volunteer for one of the many agencies that work toward a safer community, or to support these organizations with donations.
