The Town of Sidney Engineering Department is located in the Town Hall at 2440 Sidney Avenue. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The switchboard is open until 4:30 p.m. Staff are available to answer questions or respond to concerns relating to Engineering matters and will direct inquiries, when necessary, to other appropriate Departments or Managers.

The Department is equipped with modern survey, mapping and computer equipment and can provide utility information for most properties in the Town.

v Planning, Design and “As Built” Drawings for Infrastructure Improvements/Replacements
v Surveys and Mapping
v Tendering & Contracts for:

v Harbor Authority for Beacon Wharf
v Inquiries, Requests, Complaints
v Service Applications
Ø Long Term Plans
Ø 20 year Infrastructure Plan
Ø 10 year Equipment Replacement Plan
§ transportation
§ local improvements
v Mapping
v Asset Management
v General Administration for Public Works, Water, Sewer, Drains, and Parks
v Development Review and Cost Estimates for Off-site Services
v Liaise with other Government Agencies, etc.
