Frost Avenue (Lochside Drive to Maryland Drive) - Road, Curb and Sidewalk Work -
updated May 15, 2012

**Note** - upon receiving some opposition to the sidewalk, Council discussed this matter at their regular scheduled Council meeting Monday May 14, 2012 and have directed staff to proceed.

The Town of Sidney will be repairing concrete curbs, installing a new sidewalk (on the south side) and resurfacing Frost Avenue (map of construction area). Construction is anticipated to take six weeks to complete, subject to weather.

To accommodate construction, please do not park any vehicles on Frost Ave between 7:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. Please make alternate arrangements to park your vehicle outside of the construction area. Vehicle access to your residence will be limited at times. Please obey the traffic control personnel at all times; they are there for your safety.

The construction activities will disturb the boulevard. The Town will endeavor to minimize the impact; however, if you wish to save any existing landscaping features or treasured plantings please remove them. See the map for the extent of construction on your boulevard. You may choose to return the plants to the boulevard after construction is completed. The Town will assist with the removal and replacement of irrigation systems impacted by the Town’s work. Those portions of driveways removed as part of the construction will be reinstated by the Town.

The Town will provide additional notices from time to time to keep you informed on the project’s progress and paving dates.

If you or any other family members have any special access requirements or questions, please contact Adriano Sumberac, Roads Foreman at 250-656-1034 or the Engineering Department at 250-656-4502 between 8:30am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
