The Finance and Corporate Services Division is responsible for the financial management of the Town and for providing services to the operating departments of the Town by ensuring that all its internal systems are operating efficiently and cooperatively to affect the timely delivery of all services to the community and ensuring that communications from an internal corporate perspective are maintained. |

The Finance Department provides financial reporting and control, upholds the fiduciary responsibility to manage the assets of the Town and provides guidance for the overall financial stability of the Town. |

Specific functions of the Finance Department include preparation and monitoring of Town divisional operating and capital budgets; levying and collection of municipal taxes and utilities; payroll administration; processing of accounts payable; accounts receivable; financial reporting including preparation of financial statements; investing and safeguarding municipal financial assets; development and maintenance of financial statements; preparation of the Financial Plan. |
