Our current wireless coverage consists of 5 access points designed to provide coverage on Beacon from the Highway to the Waterfront. The range is represented here by the large circles with the actual access points represented by the dot in the center. The service is a "line of sight service" meaning if you can see the access point you should have no trouble connecting to it.
The signal can be blocked by trees, buildings and other obstacles and as such coverage at the limits of the access points will be marginal.
You can connect to "SidneyWireless" at the Highway and stroll all the way to the Waterfront along Beacon without losing a connection.
We hope our Residents and Visitors will find this to be a valuable addition to our Downtown core. |
