The Parks Department is responsible for the maintenance of 24 parks in the Town of Sidney, as well as 16 beach accesses and many neighbourhood trails.  The beautiful flower planters and hanging baskets that adorn Sidney streets and sidewalks are also tended to by our Parks Staff.  In addition, the Parks Department enforces Sidney's Tree Preservation Bylaw and makes recommendations on boulevard trees and trees on private property.

The Parks Department also assists in the coordination of special events in Town parks.  If you are interested in holding a public or private event in one of our parks, please complete an application form and foward it to the Engineering Department.  Depending on the type of event and location, there may be an application fee and damage deposit.  Please consult the Parks Use Policy for more information.
