Tim Chad
Tim Chad is commencing his 16th year as a member of The Town of Sidney Council. He was first elected in 1988, the first year for three terms. Tim was re-elected in 1997, 2000, 2003, and 2006.
Tim moved to Sidney in 1973 with Gloria and their two sons, Timothy and Thomas. The Boys are graduates of Sidney Elementary, North Saanich Middle School and Parkland High School.
Tim retired from the Royal Canadian Navy as a Chief Petty Officer First Class in 1983 and worked on Sidney’s waterfront until he went to work for the Canadian Hydrographic Service at the Institute of Ocean Sciences.
Tim has been a Sidney Volunteer Firefighter and a member of the Sidney Fire Wardens Committee, a member of the Sidney Little League executive and was a charter member of the Peninsula Minor Hockey executive and a member of the Sanscha Board. Tim has served as council liaison to the Advisory Planning Commission, Peninsula Recreation Commission, and Tim served six years as the Commission Chair. He has been council liaison to the Sanscha Board, Memorial Park Society and he is now a director of The Sanscha Foundation.
