The Backpack Project Donation Bin Available at Sidney Town Hall

The Town of Sidney is participating in The Backpack Project: Victoria BC, an annual local initiative which provides backpacks full of necessities and comfort items to community members who are experiencing homelessness in the Greater Victoria Region. Sidney residents and businesses are invited to bring donations of toiletry items, ready to eat foods, new or gently used blankets & sleeping bags, hoodies & sweaters, warm socks, scarves, hats & gloves, and new or gently used backpacks to the Town's donation bin, located just inside the front door of Sidney Town Hall (2440 Sidney Ave). Click here to see a list of items that the Backpack Project is looking to collect.

Our doors are open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, and we will have our donation bin in place until December 14, after which the donated items will be collected and distributed.

For more information, you can view The Backpack Project's poster or visit their project page.
