Sidney, B.C.; Based upon increased interest from Sidney residents and businesses regarding vehicle parking matters within the town, the Town of Sidney has created a special edition of Town Talk focused purely on parking. Sidney residents can expect to receive the special edition by mail within the next few weeks. However, if you don’t want to wait that long, the electronic version is available now on the Town of Sidney website.
Mayor Steve Price stated, “Council recognizes parking in Sidney is of particular interest to residents and business owners at this time. This special edition Town Talk addresses the questions we most commonly receive and provides assurance that the Town is managing parking in a sustainable, long-term fashion. I encourage you to read it in its entirety as it provides clarification on anything parking related in Sidney.”
The publication is a valuable source of information that covers a multitude of topics including parking requirements for new developments, the cost of parking space construction, time restrictions for parking in Sidney, parking availability, information on Sidney’s new parking bylaw, the cost of free parking, parking for existing development, collecting payment in lieu of parking spaces for new development, and more.
The Town of Sidney periodically produces a special edition Town Talk when a particular issue arises. This provides residents with a single source to review all the information available about a specific topic rather than having to research the Town’s website. However, residents are reminded that if they have further questions, Town staff are always available to answer any questions.
