Privacy

    The Town of Sidney is committed to protecting the privacy of any personal information you may provide when visiting our website. No personal information is automatically gathered while you are using our site. Any personal information provided is voluntary and is collected for the purpose of communicating with you and providing services to you.  We do not disclose information to third parties. Occasionally we have survey and feedback forms which are used for specific research, policy development and community consultation purposes by staff. Any personal information we ask you to provide is collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

    Log in Practices

    The Town's website logs all site visitors. We use these logs to analyze trends, administer the site, track visitors' movements and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.  Log data can not be used to personally identify an individual. The Town' s website uses "per-session" cookies only. Per-session cookies are small files that are temporarily stored in your computer's memory and are deleted when you leave the Town's website. 

    Online Services

    The Town takes every precaution to protect your personal information on the Internet. We protect your account information by requiring you to enter a uniqueID and PIN or Password each time you want to access your account information. Your PIN/Password should never be shared with anyone. The Town’s website uses SSL encryption technology to protect your personal information such as credit card numbers during transmission.
