Water and Sewer Utilities
Water and Sewer costs are paid through user charges (billed quarterly) and infrastructure levies (billed on annual tax notice).
Water Utility Rates
The water user charge provides for the operations of the Town's water system and the purchase of bulk water. The annual infrastructure levy provides for renewal of the Water Utility's infrastructure.

Sewer User Charge
The sewer user charge provides for the operation of the Town’s sewer collection system, and Sidney’s portion of costs to operate the Unified Treatment Plant for the Saanich Peninsula. The sewer user charge is based on water consumption. The Capital and Infrastructure levy provides for renewal of the Sewer Utility's infrastructure.

Utility Payment Options
Online with Credit Card – Pay online using your Visa or MasterCard. You will need your utility account number and access code, which can be found on your utility bill.
Online Banking – You can also pay online using your bank’s online bill payment service. If you have not paid us using this method before, you will have to add the Town of Sidney as a new payee.
Helpful Tip – Try searching for us as just “Sidney”, then select the appropriate payee for utility bills. Your account number can be found on your utility bill.
Pre-Authorized Withdrawal Plan – Your utility account balance can be automatically withdrawn from your bank account on each due date. To sign-up for this service, modify your existing pre-authorized withdrawal information, or cancel your pre-authorized withdrawal payments, please visit our online service MySidney. If you do not have a MySidney profile, you can register for one on the MySidney Registration Page.

At Bank – Utility bills are payable in person at most financial institutions.
Drop Box At Municipal Hall – Cheques can be deposited in the drop box located at the main entrance to Town Hall, available 24/7. Please do not deposit cash in the drop box.
