Celebrate the Roots of our Community

Monday, June 26, 11:00 am - 1:30 pm, SHOAL Centre
Hosted by the SHOAL Centre, this event will encourage people to share their memories of our community's past and leave a legacy for the future with the planting of a tree on the grounds of the SHOAL Centre. The program will honour the 43 plus years of service of Beacon Community Services in Sidney as well as the Town's 50th Anniversary and Canada's 150th Anniversary of Confederation. 

Tickets: $10.00 at the SHOAL Centre

11:15 am   Tree Planting by Beacon Community Services CEO and Town of Sidney Mayor, Steven Price.
 11:30 am   Memory Tree: Participants are invited to write their memories of Sidney on paper leaves and add to a large tree. Mingle and meet over Canada Punch
12:00 pm   Town Crier, Kenny Podmore, officially begins the Lunch. Singing of Oh Canada and welcome by Beacon Community Services CEO.
12:15 pm   Buffet begins: Menu- cold baked ham, potato salad, pasta salad, spring mix salad, buns
12:45 pm   Key Note Speakers: TBA
1:00 pm
