June 30th in Sidney is the opening of "Sidney Days" and the community's big pre-celebration of Canada Day. Below is the full listing of events for the day in Beacon Park:

 10:00 am - 7:00 pm      "To Canada With Love" Travelling Pavilion
Photographer, Tim Van Horn has created the "Canadian Mosaic Project" which is taking him across Canada collecting stories and images of the people who make up this great country. The Pavilion will be at the Mary Winspear Centre and will include an opportunity for local residents have their photo taken, tell their story and become part of the biggest photo album ever created. 
 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm              Thrifty Foods Picnic in the Park
Bring a blanket down to Beacon Park for an afternoon picnic provided by Thrifty Foods and served up by members of the Rotary Club of Sidney by the Sea.  The picnic is by a suggested minimum $5.00 donation with all proceeds to Sidney Elementary School.
