Rise up early and enjoy a tasty tradition, pancakes and sausages. Finish with plenty of time to get your favourite spot to enjoy the Sidney Days Parade!

Beacon Avenue

The Parade route begins at Resthaven Drive and Beacon Avenue. It continues down Beacon Avenue, turns right onto Second Street and ends at Ocean Avenue. Once the parade completes its route, people are encouraged to move to the Community Safety Building Open House and to Iroquois Park to join in the Family Fun Fair.

After the parade and on your way over to the Family Fun Fair in Iroquios Park, stop in at the brand new Community Safety Building. This is your opportunity to take a tour of the facility guided by a member of the Fire Department. Mayor and Council will be handing out ice cream.

The fun continues with a variety of activities for the entire family including an inflatable obstacle course, carnival-style games, dog show, watermelon eating contest, and so much more!

Build a boat

Slegg Build-a-Boat Race

Build begins: 12:00 pm - Beacon Park
Race Time: 4:30 pm - Glass Beach

The Slegg Build-a-Boat is a classic during Sidney's Canada Day Celebrations. Teams are provided with materials to build a boat and then set sail on the Salish Sea to compete for the best boat. Fun and hilarity ensue as teams discover if their ship can sail.
