Fireworks Bylaw
Any person eighteen (18) years of age or older may apply for a Fireworks Permit to fire, set off or explode Family Fireworks or Display Fireworks by submitting an application to the Fire Chief.
To prevent possible noise impacts of fireworks on wildlife, fireworks cannot be discharged within 200 metres of the designated Environmentally Sensitive Areas of:
- All Bay/Tsehum
- Roberts Bay
- KELSET (Reay Creek)
- Lochside

Applications for Family Fireworks Permits, once completed, are to be submitted to the Fire Department for authorization. Applications can be dropped off in person, mailed to the department, or sent electronically. The $10.00 fee can now be paid online, or through cash or cheque.
