Below is a copy of the Town’s Sign Bylaw regulations for election sign within the Town’s jurisdiction and the Ministry’s policy regarding election signs being posted on provincial highway rights-of-way.

Town of Sidney Sign Bylaw No. 2058
 - signs not to be posted until nomination documents have been filed with the Chief Election Officer.

Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure Policy
- signs not to be posted until 36 days prior to the election.

Pursuant to section 153 of the Local Government Act, a person must not display or post election advertising within 100 metres of a building where voting proceedings are being conducted at the time.  Accordingly, please see below for a map illustrating the 100 metre restriction on voting days.
