Vote by Mail Ballot
The Town, by bylaw, provides electors the opportunity to vote by mail ballot.
All eligible electors of the Town may vote by mail ballot.
In order to receive a mail ballot, electors will need to submit an application form to the Town.
Complete this application form and email, fax, mail, or deliver it to the Chief Election Officer at the Town of Sidney Municipal Hall:
- Mail or drop off: 2440 Sidney Avenue, Sidney, BC, V8L 1Y7
- Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Fax: 250-656-7056
Mail ballot packages will be distributed as soon as the ballots are available (around September 26, 2022).
If we receive your mail ballot application after 4:00 pm on September 30, 2022, there may not be sufficient time for mailing and receipt of the ballot. Please consider arranging to pick up your mail ballot package from the Town of Sidney Municipal Hall or contact us to confirm postal timelines to ensure that you are able to return your ballot on time.
Please note: once your mail ballot package has been sent to you or picked up, you cannot vote in person on general voting day or at either of the advance polls.
You are responsible for ensuring that your completed ballot and documents are received by the Chief Election Officer before the close of voting at 8:00 pm on General Election Day, Saturday, October 15, 2022. The cost to return the completed mail ballot is the responsibility of the elector.
