Under the Community Charter, the Town is required to designate a "Public Notice Posting Place" where notices required by the Charter must be available to the public. There is a Notice Board at the front entrance of Town Hall for this purpose, and this web page also provides the same type of notices, including notice of Council Meetings/Agendas, Public Hearings, land dispositions, the monthly meeting schedule, etc.

 


 

 IMPORTANT - COUNCIL MEETINGS

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Council Meetings are closed to the public until further notice, however meetings are now being broadcast LIVE. Council invites public input via:
1.  Correspondence - send email with subject line "Public Participation Period" to admin@sidney.ca, prior to 12:00 noon on the day of the meeting, and it will be recorded and read aloud in the meeting.  Correspondence for Public Hearings will be forwarded to Council, however will not be read aloud. 
2.  Electronically (via Zoom) -
register to speak during Public Participation Period or a Public Hearing by sending an email to the Corporate Officer at snelson@sidney.ca (or call 250-655-5402) prior to 12:00 noon on the day of the meeting.
