Applications being accepted for the Saanich Peninsula Accessibility Advisory Committee
The District of Central Saanich, District of North Saanich, and Town of Sidney are pleased to announce the establishment of a new tri-municipal advisory committee focused on improving livability, accessibility, and inclusivity of people with disabilities on the Saanich Peninsula.
The Saanich Peninsula Accessibility Advisory Committee (SPAAC) will provide comments and recommendations to the three local governments on policies, programs, services, built environments, infrastructure and outdoor spaces.
The municipalities are seeking applications from residents who are living with a disability or who are supporting a person with a disability to serve as a member on this Committee. Meetings take place bi-monthly or at the call of the Chair. A copy of the Terms of Reference is available on the Town's Saanich Peninsula Accessibility Advisory Committee page.
Saanich Peninsula residents interested in being considered for an appointment must complete an application form and submit it to your respective municipality prior to 4:00 pm, Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
