Low tides and warm temperatures are causing an unpleasant odor that can be mistaken for sewage. This is the result of seaweed and algae breaking down and releasing gasses. It is an annual occurrence and smells can linger for 2-3 weeks. Water quality is tested regularly throughout the summer.

Public Notices

Under the Community Charter, the Town is required to designate a “Public Notice Posting Place” where notices required by the Charter  must be available to the public.

To receive automatic notifications when this web page is updated, subscribe to our email notification.

There is a Notice Board at the front entrance of Town Hall for this purpose, and this web page also provides the same type of notices, including notice of Council meetings & agendas, public hearings, land dispositions, the monthly meeting schedule, etc.
