Since 2020, the Town of Sidney has celebrated Tree Appreciation Day by partnering with community members to plant trees in one of its public parks.
2024 Tree Appreciation Day
The 2024 Tree Appreciation Day was held on September 21 in Philip Brethour Park. About 40 volunteers helped plant 82 trees and pull invasive ivy. There is now a treed walkway through Phillip Brethour Park leading to the community’s newest playground.
