The Town of Sidney contracts out the collection of Garbage, Kitchen Organics, and Compostable Yard & Garden Waste to Emterra Environmental. The Blue Box Recycling Program is operated by the Capital Regional District with the service contracted out to GFL Environmental.

2024 COLLECTION SCHEDULE CHANGES

• The schedule for garbage, kitchen organics, and yard waste collection service in Sidney will be changing beginning January 2, 2024 as the result of a new five-year contract with Emterra Environmental. Most residents with curbside collection service will find their collection days have changed, so it is important that community members familiarize themselves with the new 2024 Collection Schedule. The new schedule has also been mailed out across Sidney.
