Service delays have affected garbage and yard waste pick up this week. Residents whose waste has not been collected are asked to leave bins at the curb until collection is completed, with additional collection planned through the week and Saturday if necessary.

Below are parking limitations to be aware of:


    

  • When parking in a spot with a one, two, or three hour parking limit, vehicles must be moved to a new block to park once the time is up. Moving the vehicle forward one or two spots or to the other side of the street is not sufficient and could result in a parking ticket. Streets & Traffic Bylaw No. 1966 Section 17 “Limited Time Parking Zones” covers this in detail.

  • A twenty-four hour parking restriction is enforced with the intention of encouraging people not to use our streets as free parking lots while they travel via the ferry or airport. Any parking not otherwise marked has a maximum twenty-four hour limit.
