Below are parking limitations to be aware of:

  • When parking in a spot with a one, two, or three hour parking limit, vehicles must be moved to a new block to park once the time is up. Moving the vehicle forward one or two spots or to the other side of the street is not sufficient and could result in a parking ticket. The Streets & Traffic Bylaw No. 1966 Section 17Limited Time Parking Zones” covers this in detail.
  • A twenty-four hour parking restriction is enforced with the intention of encouraging people not to use our streets as free parking lots while they travel via the ferry or airport. Any parking not otherwise marked has a maximum twenty-four hour limit.
