The Town of Sidney will begin its annual watermain flushing in February 2026 with plans to complete the work by the end of March 2026.
Annual watermain flushing is required to ensure ongoing health of the water system.
Community members may notice temporary discolouration of the water. This discolouration is not a health hazard. To clear your water lines, turn on your cold water tap until the water is clear.
Upon request, we will provide advance notice of watermain flushing for people with special requirements. Please contact the Public Works Department if you require notification.
