Low tides and warm temperatures are causing an unpleasant odor that can be mistaken for sewage. This is the result of seaweed and algae breaking down and releasing gasses. It is an annual occurrence and smells can linger for 2-3 weeks. Water quality is tested regularly throughout the summer.

Peter Grant Park

Peter Grant Park is a large open green space and off-leash dog park, with a natural grassy landscape and mulch pathways. It can be accessed from Reay Creek Park and by trails from Greenglade Road and Frost Avenue West.

Peter Grant Park was named in memory of a Town of Sidney alderman who passed away while in office.
