People enjoying downtown Sidney, including many seasonal events, will soon have a new public washroom option. The Town is currently constructing a public washroom facility along the Waterfront Walkway near Beacon Park.
The washroom will include five toilets: two standard and two accessible toilets, and one Changing Places washroom for people with complex disabilities.
This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Enabling Accessibility Fund and the Province of BC’s Growing Communities Fund.
The project is expected to be completed this summer (2024).
